This is part of an annual tradition at Sowing Seeds Ministry. Readers have the opportunity to share how our ministry has affected them. These heavily edited samples represent just a few of the many letters we receive. Thank you for the support and prayers. Our ministry could not exist without your active participation and God's continuous and occasionally even miraculous influence.

“Letters 2001”

Every year, Sowing Seeds Ministry receives many letters. Here are a few samples from 2001:

The day has arrived and I have decided not to commit suicide. Everything was planned and I just wanted to end it all, but after all the many, many emails and words of encouragement received by literally hundreds of praying friends out there, I decided to try it out and give life another shot. I know it won’t be easy but I am willing to try. I have a lot of hurt and problems to sort out but praise God I know they will come out all right. I am starting over and trying to get back on track. Please keep praying and don't stop those encouraging e-mails! It really helps. God bless you for saving my life! -- Selwyn.

I stumbled upon your site this morning; I thought quite by accident and found it really spoke to me. It is clear that each life has brokenness and pain and somehow the veil of e-mail encourages people to share. Your presence on the “Web” is as valuable as the neighborhood church of bricks. -- Dan

What a wonderful site! I’ve been sitting for an hour reading your devotions. It is such an inspiration. I started teaching a high school girls Sunday school class and have never done this before. I know this is the Lord's will for I see growth each week. Please pray for me. God Bless your ministry!  -- Frankie

I really enjoy reading your e-mails each week. I came across your site a few years ago while working on the Religion section of my city's newspaper and was seeking articles to make the section more diverse. I have really enjoyed reading yours… Anyway, you are my only source of "church" each week and wanted to let you know that I find your e-mails inspiring and uplifting.  -- Joellyn

I was on your website searching for a devotion for tomorrow night at my Stephen ministry meeting and the title of this one (It’s Been A Really Bad Day, Lord!) really resonated with me. Over the last few days, I went to the funeral of a friend's sister who died unexpectedly at 28. I had a minor auto accident and I just learned my ex-husband recently remarried. All in all, what you could safely call a "really bad weekend." Anyway, I intend to read this devotion tomorrow night at my Stephen ministry meeting. It's particularly appropriate given that many of our receivers experience "really bad days" which is what drives them to seek support through Stephen ministry.      -- Laura

Thank you for your prayers and for this website. A friend of mine introduced this site to me after learning what I am going through. I received so many responses to prayer requests and I appreciate that. God is truly moving in my life. The tears haven't stopped falling yet, but I do know that I'm in God's hands and everything will be all right. God bless you.        -- unknown

I don't know who writes this but I have to stop and say thank you for whoever built this site. A few months back I was at my end. My wife and soul mate decided to divorce me to be with someone else who was already married. It almost killed me. One day I went looking for some comfort and found Sowing Seeds of Faith. I have since made a ton of online buddies who prayed me through. Thank you Sowing Seeds. Thank you Lord for the people that make the ministry what it is.     -- Leon "The Link"

I was searching for poetry contests to enter to get me out of financial straits. I stumbled onto Sowing Seeds of Faith, to which I owe God a debt of gratitude. Tears of joy streamed down my face when a couple of my "Thoughts to Ponder" meditations were "in print" on this website. I've always wanted to write and felt God has been calling me to do so. I've turned my pity parties into devotions, prayers and reaching out and praying for others. Thank you Reverend Davies for allowing God to work in your life via the internet. Two words sum up Sowing Seeds Ministry: Alleluia and Amen.          -- Salley

What a wonderful and powerful ministry you offer the world. I’ve grown so much in my Christian walk and become a better person. I look forward to the weekly devotionals and the prayer chain. Just in case I don't thank you enough… THANK YOU. -- Teri

I write to encourage you today. Your work is changing lives every day... Keep up the great work in Him, because He is using you to bless more than you'll ever know.  -- Mike
