“A Few Thank You Notes” During 2002, Sowing Seeds Ministry sent over one-half million emails around the world offering prayers to help others through crisis and a weekly devotional bible study. I thought it would be nice to share a few emails we’ve received in reply. I’m proud to be part of this prayer ministry. Your site was a breath of fresh air. I was encouraged by how real you are. As a Brit sometimes we feel our American cousins are not in touch. Instead, I saw people in the SAME position as I or worse. This made me want to pray. Can you imagine your web site reaching people like me just outside of London?! I'm amazed! I pray 2003 will see more miracles, where God's love, grace and mercy will be poured out on those with prayer requests. Chimeme Laughter is good medicine and thanks to you, I have been smiling. Violet The creation of this site was a revelation from God. It has enabled me to meet Christian friends. The prayers relieve the load from my shoulders and I’m able to carry-on trusting God for a miracle. Nomsa Thank you for this story about the roof. God's blessings come in unique ways sometimes, even disguised as… work! I have had such blessings and pray for more. It is especially good to do things for those who can give back nothing. That is when your thanks come from the Lord. Wayne, Nova Scotia I've received some very inspiring emails from people since
I put in my prayer request. However, I was astonished to see how much pain
people are going through. My loss of a job seems so small in comparison. Thank
you for your prayers. I've included you and your ministry in my prayers. Cheryl I am truly touched by all the responses I have received! I have always remembered "where two or three or more have gathered in my name, there am I, says the Lord." I have signed up to pray for others. I love your site and only stumbled upon it by accident, or was it fate? Shellie I do believe with all my heart that your web site was a large contribution to us getting Abby back. God heard and honored every prayer. I can not thank you enough for your ministry online. Lorelei, OK I have received your internet-based devotional "Sowing Seeds..." for three years and been praying for folks around the world. I also follow the ministries of your church. I'm certain the excitement reflects the spiritual passion and leadership of the pastor, together with a strong staff and congregation. Bob I am a South African working in Kuwait and wanted to thank you for your weekly devotions. They are a blessing and contain so much wisdom for life. Reading the weekly prayer requests is a humbling experience and it makes me realize how blessed I am to have a family, a good job and my health. I pray Jesus will guide me to help… be it through prayer or giving my time or finances. Richard Thank you for your encouragement. I've been feeling much better. Not only do I feel the power of prayers and good wishes but the chance to pray for others has helped. People who have taken time out of their busy lives to drop me a line and let me know that everything's going to be okay has touched me. I am a new Christian but this has strengthened my faith in ways I can't describe. Carmen It was with amazement I read your devotion on "Where is God's Grace?" I spent many hours fulfilling my hobby as a volunteer firefighter. One morning, I was called to help a lady, blind, living in filth, not being cared for by her family. After transporting her to a nearby hospital, I became angry at God and those "social service agencies." After time in prayer, I fired off a nasty gram by email to a person who could intercede and within hours I received a reply that changes were being enacted. Today this lady is in a clean, caring environment at a local nursing home. What is the moral of the story? Use whatever talents we have to help others - and God's Grace will become evident. “Hoseline12” Read our latest devotion: Click here |
